dynasty ceramic coating
Aftercare & Warranty Information
Thanks again for trusting me with your vehicle. I have applied Dynasty 10 year ceramic coating to your vehicle.
Which gives it a durable protective layer, deep gloss, and makes it much easier to clean.
To help you get the best from it, here’s a simple guide to looking after the coating and a clear outline of what the
warranty covers.
HOW TO LOOK AFTER YOUR CERAMIC COATING
In the first 7 days
• Avoid washing the car if possible.
• If the car gets bird droppings, tree sap, or bugs on it, gently rinse them off with water as soon as you can and dab dry with a clean microfibre towel.
Ongoing washing (after the first week)
Please follow these points as closely as you can – they’re important for keeping the coating performing well and to
keep the warranty valid
Do:
• Use a pH-neutral car shampoo and proper two bucket wash method (wash + rinse bucket with grit guards)
• Wash using a soft wash mitt (microfibre), not sponges or brushes.
• Rinse the car thoroughly and dry with clean microfibre drying towels.
• Use professional grade products for maintenance (if you’re unsure, ask me and I’ll recommend suitable ones).
Avoid:
• Automatic car washes and most cheap “hand car washes” – their tools and chemicals are often too harsh and
can damage or prematurely wear down the coating.
• Sponges, brushes, or dirty wash mitts, which can scratch and swirl the paint.
• “Enthusiast” products with very high silicone or PTFE content, or heavy fillers – these can clog the coating and
affect its performance.
• Harsh, heavily scented, or brightly coloured shampoos and cleaners that are not professional grade.
If you’d like, I can look after the coating for you with a regular maintenance plan so you don’t have to worry about products or technique.
WHAT YOUR WARRANTY COVERS
Your coating is a professional grade product and the warranty is backed by the manufacturer when it’s applied and cared for correctly.
The warranty covers:
• Loss of water behaviour (beading/sheeting) much earlier than expected.
• Noticeable loss of gloss well before the end of its expected life.
• The coating failing to reach its tested lifespan when it has been washed and cared for properly.
Tested lifespan (when correctly maintained):
• Up to around 100,000 miles and 240+ proper hand washes
If at any point you feel the coating is not performing as it should, contact me and I’ll inspect the vehicle.
If it looks like a genuine coating failure (rather than damage or misuse), I’ll handle it in line with the manufacturer’s warranty process.
WHAT ISN’T COVERED / WHAT CAN VOID THE WARRANTY
The warranty does not cover damage to the car or the coating caused by:
• Poor or aggressive wash methods, including automatic car washes, cheap “hand car washes” using strong chemicals or dirty tools, and sponges/brushes/contaminated wash equipment.
• Physical damage, such as stone chips, scratches, swirls, marring, scrapes from incorrect washing, crash/collision damage, fire, or extreme weather events.
• Vehicle modifications that disturb the coating (e.g., application/removal of wraps, decals, or PPF).
• Use of non-recommended, high silicone or PTFE products that can clog or diminish the coating’s performance.
If you’re ever unsure whether a product or wash method is safe for your coating, just drop me a message or send a photo of the product label and I’ll tell you if it’s suitable.
Thank you again for your business – I really appreciate you choosing me to protect your vehicle.
