A ceramic coating is a liquid that bonds to the clear coat on your paint and hardens into a tough, glass like layer. That layer takes the daily wear the paint would otherwise take, and it adds a depth of gloss that a wax or sealant can't match.
A wax or sealant sits on the surface and gradually washes away, while a coating is measured in years. It keeps the paint slick and water repellent, so dirt struggles to stick, the car stays cleaner for longer and every wash is quicker and gentler on the paint.
It isn't a force field, and I'll always be straight with you about that. A coating won't stop a stone chip or a deep scratch. What it does is guard against the everyday things that dull paint over time, such as UV fade, bird lime, road salt, fallout and light wash marring.
A coating locks in whatever is under it. Put one over swirls and scratches and you seal those marks in for the life of the coating, which is why I only ever apply a coating as an add on to a Paint Correction. The paint is machine polished to a clean, gloss finish first, then the coating goes on the same day while the surface is at its best.

A pre wash and hand wash, wheels and arches cleaned, then an iron fallout remover and a clay treatment to lift the bonded contamination a normal wash leaves behind.
The paint is machine polished under LED inspection lighting to take out swirls, wash marring and light scratches, in a single or two stage correction depending on what your paint needs.
Every panel is wiped down to strip the polishing oils, so the coating bonds directly to clean clear coat rather than sitting on a film of residue.
Your 1, 3 or 5 year coating is applied by hand, panel by panel, then levelled so it goes on evenly with no high spots.
The whole car is checked in good light, so nothing is handed back that I wouldn't be happy with myself.
I run you through looking after the coating, and on a 3 or 5 year coating you receive your written warranty in your name.

Your warranty is recorded in your name and moves to the next owner free of charge if you sell the car.
Have the car decontaminated every six months and keep the proof, such as a receipt, invoice or dated photo of the products used. It doesn't have to be done by me.
On a valid claim I prep and coat the affected panels again free of charge, with the product and labour included.
The 1 year coating comes with full aftercare advice rather than a written warranty.
