Car steam cleaning in Manchester, on your driveway.
I steam clean seats, carpets and mats on your driveway anywhere in Greater Manchester, lifting the dirt out of the fabric and sanitising it without soaking the foam underneath. Steam is simply how I clean an interior, so it comes as standard in the Interior Deep Clean and the Deep Clean rather than as an extra on top.

Why I steam rather than soak
Soaking a seat with shampoo and leaving it to dry on its own puts a lot of water into it, and the foam underneath holds on to it. On a cold or damp day that can mean seats that are still wet the next morning and a musty smell that hangs around after the clean. Steam loosens the dirt with heat and very little water, so it lifts out with the vacuum and the seats are usually dry in around two hours.
The heat does more than shift dirt, too. Steam sanitises the fabric as it cleans, killing the bacteria that build up in seats and carpets from food, drinks, muddy shoes and everyday use, which is a big part of why the car smells fresh afterwards rather than just perfumed.
Where steam alone won't shift something, such as a mark that has been ground into a carpet for years, I follow it with hot water extraction. That's included in the price as well, so you never pay extra because a stain turned out to be stubborn.
What gets steam cleaned
Everything that holds dirt gets the steam, and everything else gets cleaned the right way for the material.
The fabric
- Fabric seats, front and back
- Carpets and footwells
- Floor mats, deep cleaned or shampooed where they need it
- The boot carpet
- Stubborn marks on fabric and trim
Everything else
- A full vacuum first, including under the seats
- Leather seats cleaned and conditioned
- Dashboard, console and door cards wiped down and conditioned
- Cup holders, vents, switches and stalks detailed
- The headliner inspected and spot cleaned where it needs it
It finishes with your choice of fragrance. The full steam clean across vents and tight detail areas, along with shampoo and extraction on every fabric surface, is part of the Showroom Detail.
How a steam clean works, step by step
The same careful order every time, so nothing gets rushed or missed.
Vacuum first
Everything loose comes out before any steam goes on, from under the seats to the boot, so the steam is working on the dirt in the fabric rather than pushing crumbs around.
Steam the fabric
Seats, carpets and mats are steamed one at a time, which loosens the dirt, lifts it to the surface and sanitises the fabric as it goes.
Lift it out
The loosened dirt comes away with the vacuum, and anything that's still stubborn gets hot water extraction.
Detail the rest
Every hard surface is cleaned and conditioned, and leather is cleaned and conditioned rather than steamed.
Leave it to dry
With so little water in the foam, the seats are usually dry in around two hours.

What steam won't fix on its own
Steam is brilliant on everyday dirt, but a few jobs need more than a standard clean. Spills that have soaked into the foam, sick, urine, mould, smoke damage and water ingress all sit in that group, and what looks like a small mark can turn out to have soaked right through to the foam. Tell me what's happened in the quote form and I'll price it properly once I've seen the car, rather than guess.
Old stains are worth a word too. Most lift out completely, but a few dyes, such as some drinks that have sat for years, can fade rather than vanish, and I'll tell you on the day which is which so you never expect a result that isn't possible.
What my customers say
"Dan did a phenomenal job with my Kia Picanto. I’ve had it 10 years and never cleaned it. It was full of stains that had been in the car for so long they wouldn’t come out by hand. I got in touch with Dan and he got it looking as good as new. I haven’t been able to use the backseats of my car for years thanks to a massive stain that I couldn’t get out. But now there’s zero evidence of the stain and I can actually offer people lifts without feeling embarrassed about the cleanliness of my car. Would absolutely recommend"
"Honestly at loss for words for how well the detail went never seen this car clean since it was bought and owned for 8 years every crevice was cleaned not a spec of dirt from the engine bay to the boot honestly more than pleased with the service."
"Dan spent over 4 hours giving my a much needed deep clean. The car is quite new and had a musty/doggy smell that I could not shift, he got rid of it.The car looks so good, like new, and the treatment of the paintwork is still effective over 6 weeks later. Money well spent, I feel very satisfied with the quality of his attention to detail and care. Thanks Bryan.Ps my wife was so impressed she is going to book a deep claen as well.."

Car steam cleaning, answered
The questions I get asked most. If yours isn't here, send me a message and I'll come back the same day.
How much does car steam cleaning cost?
Steam cleaning comes as part of the Interior Deep Clean at £130 for a small to medium car or £150 for a large or XL, or the Deep Clean at £195 or £225 if you want the outside done too. A genuine amount of pet hair adds £50.
How long do the seats take to dry?
Usually around two hours. Steam puts very little water into the foam, which is exactly why I use it instead of soaking the seats with shampoo.
Does steam cleaning kill bacteria?
Yes. The heat from the steam sanitises the fabric as it cleans, killing the bacteria that build up in seats, carpets and mats, so the interior is properly clean rather than just looking it.
Can you steam clean just the seats?
The steam work is part of the Interior Deep Clean rather than a seats only service, so you get the whole interior done, carpets, mats and every surface included, for £130 or £150.
Will steam cleaning get rid of smells?
It lifts the everyday dirt and bacteria that hold stale smells in the fabric, and you get your choice of fragrance at the end. A smell from smoke, sick or something soaked into the foam is different, so tell me about it first and I’ll price it once I’ve seen the car.
Do you need water or power at my house?
No. The van carries its own water and a generator for power, so all I need is somewhere to park next to the car at your home or workplace.
Do you steam clean engines?
The engine bay is cleaned and dressed as part of the Deep Clean wherever access allows, rather than offered as a standalone engine steam clean.
Which areas do you cover?
All of Greater Manchester and out to Wilmslow, with no travel charge, from Oldham, Ashton and Stalybridge to Stockport, Sale, Bury and Rochdale.
