A complete reset, inside and out
A Detail Valets Deep Clean is the proper baseline most studios call a "full detail" elsewhere. Every panel and surface gets attention, the car comes back to you genuinely clean rather than surface tidy.
Wash, decontaminate, dress
- pre wash to lift the loose dirt before any contact
- Safe two bucket wash with grit guards so the paint doesn't get marred
- Full chemical decontamination: iron remover, tar remover, bonded fallout cleaner
- Wheels deep cleaned face and barrel, tyres scrubbed and dressed
- Wheel arches washed and refreshed
- Engine bay cleaned and dressed where access allows
- Door shuts, sills, fuel cap, exterior trim and rubbers cleaned and dressed
- Glass cleaned streak free, outside and inside
- Sealant applied to paintwork
Vacuum, steam, refresh
- Full vacuum top to bottom, including under the seats and the boot
- Steam cleaning on fabric seats, carpets and any stubborn marks
- Dashboard, console and door cards wiped down and conditioned
- Cup holders, vents, switches and stalks detailed properly
- Leather / fabric seats cleaned and conditioned
- Headliner inspected and spot cleaned where it needs it
- Floor mats deep cleaned or shampooed if needed

How a Deep Clean works, step by step
A Deep Clean is a complete reset, inside and out, and it follows the same careful order every time so nothing gets rushed or skipped.
Assessment
I start with a walk round to note the car's condition and work out exactly what it needs before I begin.
Wheels & pre wash
The wheels, arches and shuts are cleaned down first, then a pre wash is applied to soften and lift the loose dirt before anything touches the paint.
Safe wash & decontamination
A hand wash using the two bucket method with grit guards and a soft mitt, never a sponge. Iron fallout remover and a tar remover then lift off the bonded grime an ordinary wash leaves behind.
Engine bay clean & dressed
The engine bay is cleaned down and the plastics dressed, so it looks as cared for as the rest of the car.
Interior deep clean
The inside is vacuumed throughout and steam cleaned, with the plastics, vinyl and trim cleaned and dressed, the glass cleaned inside and out, and the seats and mats shampooed.
Protection & finish
The paintwork is sealed with a six month protective sealant for lasting shine and easier upkeep, and the tyres are dressed to finish.
Final inspection
A walkaround in good light before you get the keys back, so you can see it up close and nothing's been missed.

How much does a mobile deep clean cost in Manchester?
A Detail Valets Deep Clean starts at £249 for standard cars (hatchbacks, saloons, smaller SUVs in normal weekly driver condition). Larger vehicles like estates, 7-seaters and full size SUVs are £279. For very dirty or heavily used cars (builders’ vans, dog hair covered family cars, holiday returns) it’s £329.
That’s a fixed all in price, agreed before we arrive, with no surprises on the day.
How long does a deep clean take?
Around 4 hours on site for a standard car. Larger vehicles and very dirty cars run a little longer. The process splits roughly half exterior, half interior, and we work to a finish standard rather than a clock, so if a car needs a bit more time, it gets it.
What's the difference between a Deep Clean and a Showroom Detail?
A Deep Clean is the proper baseline reset: full decontamination, full interior, every surface dealt with. A Showroom Detail goes further again with extra exterior work (paint enhancement, dealer wax removal on new cars) and a finer interior finish. Most weekly driver cars are best served by the Deep Clean.
Do I need to be home during the deep clean?
No, as long as we have access to the car. Plenty of customers leave the keys somewhere safe (key safe, side gate, or with a neighbour) and head off to work. We send a quick text when we arrive and another when we’re done, and we’ll walk you through the finish over the phone if you can’t be there in person.
What about pet hair, sand, or kids' mess?
All covered. Pet hair gets a dedicated removal step (rubber brush plus high power vacuum) and we factor it into the quote. Same with sand from beach days, baby food stains, dropped snacks. If a car is genuinely at the heavy end of ‘lived in’, that’s the £329 tier, but the result is the same: a properly reset interior, not a surface tidy.
Do you clean engine bays?
Yes, the engine bay is included in every Deep Clean where access allows. We give it a careful clean and a dressing as part of the exterior process, so the whole car comes back looking after rather than just the bits you see day to day.
Do you need water and electricity at my address?
No. The van carries its own water and a generator for power. An outside tap and a plug socket help where available and we’ll use them, but they’re not required. We can detail on a driveway, in a private parking space, or at a workplace, as long as there’s room to work around the car safely.
Can I book a deep clean as a recurring service?
You can, but the better option for regular customers is usually our maintenance plan. One Deep Clean resets the car, then lighter scheduled visits keep it on point season after season, costing less than a full Deep Clean each time. We’ll talk you through both options on the day.
